1) Any 1964 or newer American or foreign made car or pickup
sold in the USA. No sports cars, vans, convertibles or rear engine vehicles.
2) Exterior & Interior must be free of all glass,
chrome, trim, plastic, etc.
3) Vehicle interior must be open. NO cockpits.
4) Removable steering wheel is mandatory, no tilt columns.
1) Racing tires allowed. P215 60.D 13” American Racer.
2) DOT approved tires allowed, 8” max width, 8” wheel
max. 13” or 14” tires allowed.
3) 1” lug nuts required.
4) Shocks must be stock and in stock location.
5) No alterations of
frames, engine placement or floor pan.
1) Firesuit, neck collar, gloves, head sock or helmet skirt
mandatory. Must wear racing shoes or leather shoes.
2) Roll cage minimum of 1 ½” OD tubing 0.95 min, no
square tubing in main cage loop behind driver. One horizontal bar on passenger
side. Three bars on driver’s side door with 10-gauge plate covering bars.
Safety post on driver’s side corner mandatory.
3) Bumpers must be securely fastened and must have chain or
hooks for wrecker hook up.
4) Bumpers can be reinforced from behind.
5) Rub rail allowed 1” square tubing with tapered ends and
capped off. No sharp edges.
6) No stock gas tanks allowed. Fuel cells mandatory. Must
have chain connected to fuel cap. If fuel line runs through driver’s
compartment, must be in metal tubing. Electric fuel pumps must have oil pressure
regulator switch, fuel shut off optional.
7) Grate or screen in front of driver’s window. No glass
allowed.
8) Racing seats mandatory. Must be secured to floor &
roll cage.
9) Standard 5 point racing seat belts only. Must not be over
2 years old. Crotch strap mandatory.
10) Window nets mandatory. Must be securely fastened, seat belt type
latch on top corner. No zip ties.
11) No metal screws, sheet metal
screws or self-taping allowed in car. Pop rivets only.
1) Must be securely fastened in trunk or under hood.
1)
No rotary motors allowed. Fuel injection and turbo allowed.
2)
Any other 4-cylinder motor not to exceed 2500cc, must have stock bottom.
No boring or doom pistons. Motor must match make of car. (i.e. Ford chassis,
Ford body, Ford motor)
3)
Headers allowed.
4)
Stock intake manifold and no re-drilling of bolt holes for carburetor or
head.
5)
Stock carburetor only. All carbs
must be able to be purchased at parts stores. No alcohol or NOS allowed.
6)
No interchanging of parts from 6 Cyl.
Or V8 to 4 Cyl. Allowed.
7)
Stock transmission matching make of
vehicle required.
8)
Stock clutch pressure plates only.
No aluminum flywheels, no Tilton clutches.
9)
¼” by 3” wide scatter shield
required over bell housing if aluminum bell housing is used.
1)
Top 3 feature finishers may be claimed by any competitor from 4th
place back finishing on the lead lap.
2)
Claimant must have competed for the previous 2 weeks to be able to claim.
3)
No one driver may claim more than two motors in one season.
4)
No one driver may claim the same driver twice in one season.
5)
No one driver may be claimed more than twice in one season by
competitors.
6)
All competitors competing in the feature are subject to claim by Orleans
Raceway. Also Orleans Raceway reserves the right to claim a driver that has had
two prior claims.
7)
The claiming driver or drivers, top 3 finishers and track officials
allowed in claim area only. (NO EXCEPTIONS!!)
8)
Claim excludes carb, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, motor mounts,
starter, and cooling fan. Also alternator if so equipped.
9)
Claiming driver must have $425.00 US currency in claiming area. $400.00
to claimee, and $25.00 to Orleans Raceway.
